After Trixie left Ponyville, being defeated once again by Twilight Sparkle. She had done many jobs, one having been part of princess Celestia's science division, fooling Twilight into recommending her to the princess.
They had been studying the blood stone that had been given to Celestia by the delegate of Saddle Arabia to try and unlock the magical secrets that it possessed, though Trixie had other plans, having possessed the alicorn amulet. With the first chance she got, Trixie took the blood stone and disappeared into the black of night.
Having the amulet, Trixie proceeded in kidnapping fillies and colts to test the blood stone on before using it on herself. After many tests ending up in failure, the ponies that she had been testing on ended up decaying and dying. She knew that there was a curse with the stone, but the hardheaded unicorn refused to give up, having sworn that she would get her revenge on Twilight and she finally did it, having test subjects B30 and B31 having managed to stay alive though all the test with the blood stone.
In Trixie's delight, she rushed over to hug the *now full grown* mare earth pony. "Yes, I have finally done it! I have unlocked the power of the blood sto- - wait…. Wah… WHATS HAPPENING TO ME?!" Before Trixie could realize what she had accomplished, she was turning into a rotten husk on the lab floor. The earth pony that had survived the test, named White River, shocked, had no time to try and figure out what just transpired in front of her eyes.
She ran out of the chamber that Trixie had been performing the unspeakable test that had been going on for nearly 7 long years. Having stripped Trixie of her attire, she put on the hat and attached the cape to the blood stone that she had around her neck as she ran out, not knowing what the stone really was. River had come to know her self as Calamity B31 for the past 7 years, the very name that Trixie had addressed her in her captivity.
When she finally got outside, free from the nightmare she had lived. Taking in the beautiful warmth of Celestia's sun, she bent down, plucking a gorgeous yellow flower from a nearby bush. "Finally, something different from that sloppy oatmeal that blue hag had been feeding me…" … "Blegh! What the? This taste horrib… Oh wait, it's dead, haha silly me, ah probably didn't look correctly, lemme just grab another…" ~ but after countless attempts, River had given up, accepting the truth that what ever the blood stone was that Trixie was testing on her, killed everything she touched.
After countless times to try and rid herself of the blood stone, she gave up. The stone was unable to be remove, as if it fused itself to River.

((UPDATE: This is what I had in mind when I took on the job of giving Calamity B31's OC a story, but when I start the reboot, a new story will give her a new look. Keep an eye on my journal for more info on Calamity B31))
After seeing CalamityB31 [OC] and reading the story description she made with her. I decided to make a fic for her, the description she made inspiring me with ideas for this character, but I just had to make a few changes to the description, still working in what was already said on the original, making it go with the story I playing through my mind.
